Prof. Harri Hakula from Aalto University (Helsinki, Finland) visited the NumPDE Group in February 2025.
Prof. Hakula's research spans finite element methods with applications in computational mechanics and eigenvalue problems, as well as conformal mappings and their applications to PDEs.
On February 15, 2025, he delivered a talk at the Mathematics and Applications Colloquium, offering an introduction to 'Conformal Mapping and Invariants: Motivating Numerical PDE Approaches' (slides).
